Calling all future disability community leaders!

The annual NINJA Conference for Youth with Disabilities:

  • No expense to selected delegates (all expenses paid).
  • Exciting, fun, and educational 4-day training program.
  • Developing future disability leaders and self-advocates
  • Consumers of Centers for Independent Living (CIL) ages 16-24.

If you are interested in applying and attending the NINJA Conference please contact your regional Center for Independent Living

Applications can be used for both delegates and mentors. *Mentors are eligible to attend for up to 3 years or until age 30*

Helpful tips for your online application:

  • Be prepared to provide 2 letters of recommendation. One MUST be from someone other than a family member (These can be uploaded in PDF or Word format)
  • Be prepared to answer short essay questions about your leadership potential or experience
  • Make sure all information is complete and correct before submitting your application
  • It is essential to provide a valid email address so we can notify you if you are accepted to attend
  • If you need assistance filling out the application please contact your local Independent Living Center staff. They will be happy to assist you
